05House cleaning and maid service, explained plainly
People search for a lot of different things — house cleaning, maid service, apartment cleaning, cleaning service near me — and mean roughly the same job. Here is how we actually divide it up, so you can pick the right one instead of guessing.
Standard cleaning
The recurring maintenance clean. Kitchen cleaned properly, all floors vacuumed and mopped, surfaces dusted, beds made, trash out. This is the right choice when the home is already in reasonable shape and you want it kept that way. Flat prices run from $109.99 for a studio or one-bedroom to $339.99 for five bedrooms or more, and the price includes New Jersey sales tax.
Bathrooms are priced separately, at $29.99 each, on every service we offer — they are not folded into the flat rate. We would rather you read that here than find it on an invoice, and it means you only pay for the bathrooms you actually want done. Tell us how many and the number we quote is the whole number.
Deep cleaning
Everything in a standard clean plus the things that only get done occasionally: baseboards, door frames, window sills and tracks, light fixtures, vents, behind and under movable furniture, cabinet fronts, and detail work on grout and hard water scale. First-time clients with a home that has not had professional attention in a while usually need this once, then move on to standard cleans. From $149.99.
Move-in and move-out cleaning
An empty-property clean built around what landlords and property managers actually inspect — inside the oven, inside and behind the refrigerator, inside every cabinet and drawer, and the range hood filter. If you are a renter trying to protect a security deposit or a landlord turning a unit between tenants in Newark, Irvington or East Orange, this is the one. From $149.99.
Recurring plans
Weekly, biweekly or monthly, billed monthly, saving roughly 10–16% per visit against one-off pricing. Recurring clients keep the same crew, get priority booking, and take 10% off add-ons. There is no lock-in — cancel with notice before your next scheduled visit.
06Add-ons, and the two we price by condition
Laundry (wash, dry, fold) $39.99. Interior windows from $39.99. Carpet cleaning — carpet shampoo — $79.99. Bathrooms $29.99 each, on every service — they are not part of any flat rate, so tell us how many you need cleaned. Garage, attic or basement $50 each. Pet fee $19.99. Breaking down boxes $30. Additional cleaning time $49.99.
Two add-ons are quoted by severity rather than flat: inside the oven and inside the refrigerator, both from $39.99. A lightly used oven and one with years of carbon on it are genuinely different jobs. If yours is heavily built up we tell you the real number and get your agreement before we touch it — never afterwards on the invoice.
07What we do not do
Being straight about the limits saves everyone a difficult conversation on the day. Our crews do not move furniture or appliances heavier than about 35 lb, do not work from ladders above two steps or clean exterior windows above ground level, and do not handle biohazards, mould remediation, pest infestation or animal waste. We also leave cabinets and drawers that still have contents in them unless that was agreed in advance.
